Meet the Colorado Springs Weight Loss Doctor
If you are skeptical, good for you - you should be.
It doesn't take much nosing around in the weight loss industry to find that most of it is gimmicky.
Isn't that why we all love to watch the Biggest Loser on tv - there is something real about the blood, sweat and tears.
That show is telling us all something that we already know - that anything good in life doesn't come easy.
I'm not here to blow sunshine - I'm hear to help you lose weight the healthy way, so that you can truly put this phase of your life behind you and move on.

My Weight Loss Story
My brother weighs 350+ lbs, maybe more.
My mother is medically obese as well.
I was on my way.
In fact, I way as much today as I did in the 7th grade, and no, I was not an early bloomer...I was overweight and needed to lose weight.
My story began when I got into a car accident at the age of 19. I was a pre-med student, planning to be a doctor.
I went to the emergency room, and they took X-rays and gave me a clean bill of health.
But a few days later, headaches set in, and they were real ragers. The pain killers the doctors gave me just took the edge of, and they made me feel like I was living in a bad dream. I thought, "Am I going to have to live this way forever."
I learned to live with it; live with a dull, underlying pain that prevented me from moving, exercises, or thinking straight.
My parents finally said, "Enough is enough," and they took me to a doctor in Redlands, CA who made a few adjustments to my spine, and I could finally feel normal again. Of course this doctor was a chiropractor. While in his office, he not only helped me be pain free, but he also helped me change my diet and I lost 15 lbs.
This experience totally changed my life and my direction in life.

Weight Loss and Me
I chose to be a chiropractic doctor, rather than a medical doctor, but I soon fell back into old ways.
Through chiropractic graduate school, the stress of studying and finals jacked with my hormones and cortisone made me pack on the pounds.
It seemed that I could never get down to the weight I wanted to. I'd yo yo, and I never quite felt like myself. I always had an extra 20-30 lbs.
And though I was a natural practitioner, I still could not kick some of my health problems that plagued me from childhood.

The Weight Loss Solution That Finally Worked!
Now, I was the person who couldn't lose weight even though I was working harder than everyone else. In fact, at one point I was even a personal trainer...a bulky personal trainer.
It wasn't until I began to deal with my mind, and the way I thought about my body, about health, and food that I began to lose weight.
It wasn't until I got healthy on the inside, that the pounds seemed to melt off of me. My husband can attest, when we first got married, I used to burp all the time and my skin was inflamed.
I had to first address these things: balance out my hormones, I had to get out of pain and address my injuries from the car accident, get off gluten (not everyone needs to do this but it changed my life), and change my mind away from food being my "comfort" before I could experience the weight loss that I had dreamed of.
Now, honestly, it is easy to keep it off. I work out less than I want to (maybe 1-3 times a week), and eat as much as I want. This type of weight loss is real and lasting. No gimmicks.
What I learned is that I had to be health on many different levels, if I want to overcome my struggle with weight loss - otherwise, I'd yo-yo.
If you can still relate with what I'm talking about, and you've made it this long, then we should talk. For a free consultation, just submit the form here.
